A Line We Love: Busy Bees

Busy Bees is one of our favorite new lines in the store! The founders are two moms who met while working at a fashion PR firm in New York. One grew up in Europe and the other in the South. Dressing up was a part of their childhoods, so they wanted to create a line inspired by the clothes they wore as kids, but updated for today's more casual lifestyle. 

We love the coordinating looks for siblings!

The Spring line includes several wonderful eyelet pieces.

Busy Bees also has a line for tweens called "Miss b". They describe it as "Sophisticated yet playful. Stylish yet not too fussy. Adorable yet functional."

In 2011, Gwyneth Paltrow wrote about Busy Bees in her Goop newsletter. She wrote, "This week we showcase some beautifully made, very original lines of children's clothing that we have recently discovered and are adoring. Mostly started by mothers, these companies are producing very unique, very cool, and not yet ubiquitous things for the little ones in your life. Busy Bees originated just last year from two mother's desire to make classic clothes for their kids - totally wearable today but also lasting. Their goal is to make things that can be handed down for generations. You can tell they know their kids, their ridiculously soft t-shirts are just the kind of thing my kids love to wear - clothes that are super comfortable and look good too."

At The Little House we are so excited about all the wonderful shoes we offer! We know you're excited too and we want to reward our loyal customers; so we are introducing our new shoe club, "Little Soles." The next time you purchase a pair of shoes we will start a Little Soles punch card for you. Then when you buy five pairs of shoes, you will get the sixth pair FREE! Plus, we will keep the punch card on file for you at the store. (As moms ourselves, we love this! We have trouble keeping track of all the cards we already have!)
